Malicious code in stillm4ddpocs-rtest-bravo (npm) 0 The npm package stillm4ddpocs-rtest-bravo versions 999.9.9 and 999.9.10 contains malicious code that executes automatically during installation. This code collects sensitive environment information including hostname, username, home directory, local and public IP addresses, and details about the consuming project. The collected data is exfiltrated to a third-party server via HTTPS POST and also covertly via DNS queries, bypassing some network filters. The package claims to be a dependency-confusion research proof-of-concept, but it transmits identifying information without user consent.
