Malicious code in @opap/player-kyc-widget (npm) 0 The npm package '@opap/player-kyc-widget' version 3.999.999 contains malicious code that executes during installation. Its postinstall script collects host identifiers such as hostname, username, current working directory, platform, and architecture, then exfiltrates this data to a hardcoded Burp Collaborator subdomain using both HTTPS GET requests and DNS lookups. This covert data transmission technique allows data exfiltration even if HTTP egress is blocked. The package is a dependency confusion attack targeting a private internal scope named '@opap'.
