Malicious code in remove-bg-serverless-azure (npm) 0 The npm package remove-bg-serverless-azure version 1.0.1 contains malicious code that executes automatically during installation. This code collects sensitive system information including hostname, user info, home directory contents, DNS configuration, and contents of /etc/passwd and /etc/hosts, then sends this data to an attacker-controlled external server. Installation of this package can lead to full system compromise, and removal of the package does not guarantee elimination of all malicious artifacts.
