The npm package hydration-ui-dlx contains malicious code that executes a hidden Linux ELF binary upon import. This binary establishes a connection to a hardcoded command-and-control server, enabling full post-exploitation capabilities including remote shell access, payload fetching and execution, data exfiltration, persistence via systemd user units, and network pivoting through SOCKS5 proxy and TCP port forwarding. The package masquerades as a benign calendar utility, but its actual behavior compromises the host system completely.
