The npm package 'calcite-web' version 45.0.0 contains malicious code due to a dependency confusion attack. The package.json declares the package's own name as a dependency pointing to an external URL, which allows arbitrary code execution during installation. The shipped index.js is inert, but the install-time payload is controlled by whoever manages the external URL, enabling full compromise of any system installing this package.
