The grafeno-sdk npm package versions 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 contain malicious code in their preinstall lifecycle script. This script executes a hidden command that fetches and runs a shell script from an external IP address, allowing arbitrary code execution on the machine during installation. The malicious behavior is concealed by swallowing errors and suppressing output, making detection difficult during npm install.
