The npm package amplitude-react-native version 45.0.0 contains malicious code due to a dependency-confusion issue. Its package.json declares a dependency from an untrusted HTTPS URL without version pinning or integrity verification, allowing an attacker controlling that URL to execute arbitrary code during installation. The installed package's index.js is inert, but the manifest triggers execution of potentially malicious lifecycle scripts. Any system with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, and all secrets and keys on that system must be rotated from a different machine.
