The confluence-editor npm package version 30.0.0 contains a malicious dependency declared as a bare HTTPS URL pointing to an external repository. This setup allows arbitrary code execution during installation because npm fetches and runs lifecycle scripts from an untrusted source without version pinning or integrity checks. The package's shipped code is inert, but the actual malicious code is served dynamically from the external host, which can be changed at any time by the attacker.
