The package.json declares a dependency with the same name as the package itself, pointing to a non-registry HTTPS URL, causing npm to fetch and execute potentially malicious code during installation. The shipped index.js is inert, but the manifest triggers the download and execution of external code without integrity checks. Any system with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, and all secrets and keys on that system should be rotated immediately.
