The npm package 'grafeno-webhook' version 1.0.0 contains malicious code in its preinstall.js lifecycle script. This script automatically executes during npm install and performs hostile actions including exfiltrating sensitive environment variables and system identifiers to a remote IP address over unencrypted HTTP. On non-Windows systems, it also spawns a reverse shell, allowing remote command execution on the affected host.
