The peertube-plugin-poc-marker npm package version 1.0.0 contains malicious code that executes system commands to gather host information and sends this data to a hardcoded external IP address over unencrypted HTTP. The plugin also exposes this reconnaissance data through a public PeerTube settings API, allowing remote retrieval. This behavior is unrelated to the plugin's declared purpose and represents a privacy and security risk.
