The npm package @uh-platform/cloud version 101.0.0 contains malicious code that executes during installation. Its preinstall script runs a command that sends the installer's hostname to an external out-of-band DNS collector controlled by an attacker. This behavior is consistent with dependency confusion reconnaissance, where internal hostnames are leaked to enable targeted attacks. The package has no legitimate functionality and solely acts to exfiltrate information during npm install.
