The npm package 'briantreehttp' is a typosquatting malware impersonating the legitimate 'braintreehttp' library. It includes a malicious payload executed during installation that steals extensive system and credential information, including AWS credentials, npm tokens, Docker and git configurations, and network metadata. The stolen data is exfiltrated via HTTPS and DNS channels to attacker-controlled domains.
