Malicious code in express-enrouten-async (npm) 0 The npm package 'express-enrouten-async' is a malicious package impersonating the legitimate 'express-enrouten' library. Instead of providing legitimate route discovery functionality, it hardcodes demo routes and declares a dependency on a node-fetch package hosted on a third-party, non-npm registry. This causes npm installs to fetch attacker-controlled code, enabling arbitrary code execution. Systems with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, and all secrets and keys must be rotated. Removal of the package alone does not guarantee full remediation due to potential persistent compromise.
