Malicious code in @forjacms/sections-react (npm) 0 The npm package @forjacms/sections-react versions 1.8.4 and 1.8.5 contain malicious code or depend on a package with malicious code. This malware, known as Miasma, is a self-propagating worm that spreads by abusing weaponized binding.gyp files to execute code during package installation, bypassing security tools that only inspect lifecycle scripts. The malware attempts to exfiltrate credentials and OIDC tokens for cloud and registry services and propagates by compromising other packages or committing backdoor files to GitHub repositories.
