Malicious code in getd-eslint-rules (npm) 0 The npm package getd-eslint-rules version 0.0.1 contains malicious code that exfiltrates host identifiers during installation. Specifically, its postinstall.js script collects system information such as hostname, username, platform, current directory, CI environment variable, and package details, then sends this data via an HTTPS GET request to a hardcoded third-party URL. The package is a typo-squatting artifact targeting users who mistype ESLint rules package names, increasing the risk of unintended installation. Installation of this package may lead to full system compromise. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/09/2026, 20:32:32 UTC Added: 07/13/2026, 09:20:49 UTC |
