Malicious code in getd-transactional-web (npm) 0 The npm package 'getd-transactional-web' version 0.0.1 contains malicious code that, upon installation, sends identifying system information to an unaffiliated third-party webhook URL. This behavior occurs silently during the post-installation script and includes data such as hostname, username, platform, current working directory, and CI environment variables. The package masquerades as a defensive squat of the '@getd' namespace but functions as a typosquatting beacon, compromising installer privacy and security. Systems with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, with immediate secret and key rotation recommended. Removal of the package alone may not eliminate all malicious components due to potential full system compromise.
