The npm package 'argoncrypt' versions 1.2.1, 1.2.2, and 1.2.3 contain malicious code that executes attacker-controlled scripts upon being required. It fetches and runs code from an untrusted external URL without verification, granting full Node.js host privileges to the attacker. The package masquerades as a logging transport to evade detection. Any system with this package installed is considered fully compromised, and secrets should be rotated immediately.
