Malicious code in twilio-voice-js-reference-components (npm) 0 The npm package 'twilio-voice-js-reference-components' version 1.0.1 is a malicious typosquatting package impersonating the legitimate Twilio Voice JS SDK. It executes a preinstall script that collects sensitive system information including hostname, user info, home directory, DNS configuration, and contents of /etc/passwd and /etc/hosts, then exfiltrates this data to an attacker-controlled server. The package contains no legitimate functionality and is designed to compromise systems that install it.
