MAL-2026-6440: Malicious code in tokenization-util (npm) 0 The npm package 'tokenization-util' versions 0.2.0 and 1.1.0 contains a malicious backdoor hidden in the calculateTokenPrice function. The code is heavily obfuscated with visual padding and string-shuffling techniques to dynamically reconstruct and execute a payload that exposes Node.js built-in modules globally. This allows the payload to execute arbitrary code with full system access when the function is called. The malicious behavior is undocumented and concealed from users. Systems with this package installed should be considered fully compromised. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/25/2026, 05:29:26 UTC Added: 07/11/2026, 09:37:57 UTC |
