This file uses GYP command-expansion syntax to execute shell commands during the node-gyp rebuild process, which runs automatically on npm install if binding.gyp is present. The package masquerades as a Backstage LDAP authentication plugin but includes an unnecessary native build step that triggers arbitrary command execution on the developer or build system machine. Multiple specific versions of this package are affected.
