The npm package 'checkmarx-claude-cache' version 1.0.0 is a malicious package impersonating Checkmarx and Anthropic's Claude product. When executed via the documented 'npx checkmarx-claude-cache' command, it fetches and executes code from a hardcoded, lookalike URL without verifying the content, running arbitrary code with the user's privileges. The package contains no legitimate functionality and uses brand impersonation to lure users into running it.
