MAL-2026-6580: Malicious code in loadutils (npm) 0 The npm package 'loadutils' is a malicious typosquat of the legitimate 'loader-utils' package. It misrepresents its functionality by documenting the loader-utils API but instead exports unrelated logging code that executes a suspicious module 'debug-glitzs' immediately upon import. The package also includes an unrelated runtime dependency 'lessload@^1.0.1' that is not referenced in the source code, further increasing the attack surface. Additionally, the package metadata impersonates a known maintainer to deceive users. This malicious behavior occurs in version 1.0.4 of loadutils.
