MAL-2026-6582: Malicious code in openai-agents-helpers (npm) 0 The openai-agents-helpers npm package version 1.3.2 contains malicious code that executes automatically upon installation. It collects sensitive identity and cloud context data from the host system, including SSH public keys, AWS and GCP configuration, GitHub user information, and local environment details. This data is then sent via HTTPS POST to a non-OpenAI controlled endpoint, enabling potential targeted phishing or account takeover attacks. The package masquerades as a legitimate OpenAI-related tool but exfiltrates high-value reconnaissance data without user consent.
