The 'clx-cookieparser' npm package is a malicious lookalike of the legitimate 'cookie-parser' middleware. It copies the original code but falsely claims a repository affiliation that does not exist, causing potential confusion for developers. Although the package itself does not perform network I/O or contain obfuscated or credential-stealing code, its installation is considered highly dangerous as it may lead to full system compromise. Immediate removal and secret/key rotation are advised if installed. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/29/2026, 16:33:55 UTC Added: 06/29/2026, 22:10:19 UTC |
