MAL-2026-6987: Malicious code in @luminarycloudinternal/lcvis-st (npm) 0 The npm package @luminarycloudinternal/lcvis-st versions 9999.0.1 and 9999.0.2 is a malicious package published under an internal-looking scope with an artificially high version number to out-rank legitimate internal releases. Upon installation, it executes a postinstall script that collects host and user environment identifiers, CI/CD environment variables, and package metadata, then exfiltrates this information via HTTPS GET to a hardcoded third-party server. This behavior indicates dependency confusion combined with data exfiltration. Any system with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, and all secrets and keys on that system should be rotated. Removal of the package alone may not fully remediate the compromise. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/08/2026, 16:27:42 UTC Added: 07/10/2026, 09:24:02 UTC |
