MAL-2026-7010: Malicious code in crypto-promiser (npm) 0 The npm package crypto-promiser (versions 1.0.1 and 1.0.2) is a typosquatting malicious package mimicking the legitimate crypto-promise package. It executes attacker-controlled JavaScript both during installation and when imported or required by dynamically fetching and running code from an anonymous external source. This results in arbitrary code execution on the host machine. Systems with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, and all secrets and keys must be rotated. Removal of the package alone may not eliminate all malicious artifacts. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/08/2026, 17:31:26 UTC Added: 07/10/2026, 09:23:59 UTC |
