Blend between Banking Malware & Spyware 0 Manic is a newly identified Android malware family combining banking malware and spyware capabilities. It targets Ukrainian banks, government services, messaging apps, Russian and European financial institutions, and global fintech and cryptocurrency services. Active since February 2026, it enables device takeover via advanced surveillance and remote control. It uses Accessibility services as a UI keylogger to steal PINs, lock-screen inputs, recovery phrases, and authentication codes without traditional overlay attacks. A unique Wi-Fi mesh egress technique allows stolen data to be relayed through other infected devices when direct command and control access is unavailable. It monitors 169 applications including banks, cryptocurrency wallets, government eID services, and military-focused messengers across multiple countries.
