A vulnerability in gittuf prior to version 0.14.0 allows an attacker with push access to the Reference State Log (RSL) to roll back the current policy to any previous policy trusted by the current root keys. This rollback occurs because gittuf validates new policies by checking signatures against the current root keys, but an attacker can reference an older trusted policy in the RSL, causing the system to revert to that state. This issue is fixed in version 0.14.0. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 05/14/2026, 18:16:00 UTC Added: 10/17/2026, 22:27:51 UTC |
