GitHub CLI (gh) versions prior to 2.97.0 contain a vulnerability where HTTP request URLs interpolate variable path components without percent encoding. This allows URL path metacharacters in attacker-controlled repository or resource values to cause the CLI to address a different API endpoint or resource than intended. The issue is fixed in version 2.97.0. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/06/2026, 22:18:00 UTC Added: 10/17/2026, 22:24:58 UTC |
