The xSpeed Cache plugin for WordPress up to version 1.4.2 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability via the 'content' parameter. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages. This vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping.
The NotificationX – FOMO, Live Sales Notification, WooCommerce Sales Popup, GDPR, Social Proof, Announcement Banner & Floating Notification Bar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'name' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires that an administrator has previously enabled a WordPress.org Reviews campaign and placed the notificationx-pro/notificationx dynamic block on a public page, both of which are documented, supported plugin workflows.
NotificationX plugin for WordPress versions up to 3.3.3 has a missing authorization vulnerability in its REST API endpoint /notificationx/v1/popup-submit. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary forged social-proof entries into enabled non-popup NotificationX campaigns, such as WP Comments and WooCommerce sales notifications. The vulnerability arises because the permission callback always returns true, and the handler does not verify the type of campaign before copying its source data.
The EmbedPress – PDF Embedder, 3D PDF FlipBook, Google Reviews, YouTube Videos, Upload & Embed PDF documents plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'slidesShow' Block Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The slidesShow block attribute is interpolated into an unquoted data-carousel-options HTML attribute, allowing a payload containing spaces to break out of the attribute and inject additional DOM attributes such as onfocus event handlers onto the wrapper element.
The Gutenberg Essential Blocks – Page Builder for Gutenberg Blocks & Patterns WordPress plugin versions up to 6.4.5 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw arises from insufficient sanitization and escaping of the Google Map block's 'marker' attribute, allowing authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. These scripts execute when any user views the affected page, potentially compromising user data or session integrity.
The EmbedPress – PDF Embedder, 3D PDF FlipBook, Google Reviews, YouTube Videos, Upload & Embed PDF documents plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'unique' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. This is a regression: the esc_url() wrapper that remediated the equivalent CVE-2023-5749 in version 3.9.2 was removed in version 4.3.0 during a refactor that introduced the 'unique' parameter.
The BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, Docs, Wikis, FAQ with Chatbot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Heading 'id' Attribute in Post Content in all versions up to, and including, 4.8.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The exploit survives wp_kses_post because entity-encoded quotes in a heading id attribute are treated as a single legitimate attribute value at save time; the dangerous payload only materialises after process_content_for_toc() calls html_entity_decode() on the stored content and the broken id is extracted by a lazy regex before being echoed unescaped into the Table of Contents output.
The BetterLinks WordPress plugin up to version 3.1.0 has an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users with subscriber-level access or higher to create arbitrary short URLs with attacker-controlled slugs and redirect destinations. Exploitation requires the Fluent Boards plugin to be active, which exposes a nonce on every frontend page accessible to authenticated users. This vulnerability can enable phishing and SEO abuse. The CVSS score is 4.3, indicating medium severity.
The Templately – Elementor & Gutenberg Template Library: 6500+ Free & Pro Ready Templates And Cloud! plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 3.7.1 via the fetch_remote_file function. This is due to a filename validation/destination mismatch in fetch_remote_file, where file type validation is performed against the attacker-controlled Content-Disposition filename rather than the URL-path-derived destination filename. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to execute code on the server. A GIF+PHP polyglot file passes wp_check_filetype_and_ext validation as image/gif via the Content-Disposition filename, while the actual destination path is written with a .php extension derived from the URL path, bypassing the unfiltered_upload capability gate entirely. The affected endpoints are reachable at this privilege level because Templately's entire REST API — including the cloud import endpoints used in this attack (/templately/v1/clouds/upload and /templately/v1/insert) — is authorized only by a current_user_can('delete_posts') check, with no administrator or manage_options capability requirement. The same permission gate also allows a contributor to overwrite the site's global Templately cloud connection via the /templately/v1/login endpoint with global_signin set to true. A complete remediation should both correct fetch_remote_file to validate the file type against the actual destination filename rather than the Content-Disposition header (and avoid deriving the write path from the request URL), and restrict state-changing Templately REST routes to an appropriate administrator-level capability.
The Essential Addons for Elementor – Popular Elementor Templates & Widgets WordPress plugin contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Fancy Text Widget. This affects all versions up to and including 6.6.11. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages. The vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping.
The Essential Addons for Elementor – Popular Elementor Templates & Widgets plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Reading Progress Global Color Settings in all versions up to, and including, 6.6.11 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
The Essential Addons for Elementor – Popular Elementor Templates & Widgets plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authenticated Account Takeover via Email Header Injection in all versions up to, and including, 6.6.10 This is due to insufficient server-side validation of a Login/Register widget setting used to construct outgoing email headers — the allowed-values restriction is enforced only in the client-side editor UI and not on the server, and the applied sanitization does not strip or encode CR/LF characters, allowing CRLF sequences stored in that setting to survive into raw mail headers. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject an additional Bcc header into the WordPress administrator's password-reset notification email, receive a copy of a valid administrator password-reset link, and achieve full administrator account takeover.
The BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, Docs, Wikis, FAQ with Chatbot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'lang' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.0 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with custom-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. Exploitation requires a supported multilingual plugin (WPML, Polylang, qTranslate, Weglot, or TranslatePress) to be active on the site, as the vulnerable code path is gated by Helper::is_multilingual_active().
The Essential Addons for Elementor – Popular Elementor Templates & Widgets plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Event Calendar widget in all versions up to, and including, 6.6.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on event titles sourced from The Events Calendar. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
The Gutenberg Essential Blocks – Page Builder for Gutenberg Blocks & Patterns plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'configurablePrefix' Block Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 6.1.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
The BetterDocs - Knowledge Base Docs & FAQ Solution for Elementor & Block Editor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the blockId attribute of the betterdocs/category-slate-layout Gutenberg block in versions up to, and including, 4.5.3. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the CategorySlateLayout::render() method, which echoes the blockId block attribute directly into an HTML class attribute without esc_attr(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
EmbedPress – PDF Embedder, Embed PDF viewer, YouTube Videos, 3D FlipBook, Social feeds & more WordPress plugin versions up to and including 4.5.3 contain a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The issue arises from insufficient sanitization and escaping of the 'url' attribute in a block, allowing authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. These scripts execute when any user views the affected page. The vulnerability has a medium severity rating with a CVSS score of 6.4.
The Essential Addons for Elementor – Popular Elementor Templates & Widgets WordPress plugin is vulnerable to an information exposure vulnerability in all versions up to and including 6.6.4. The vulnerability exists in the ajax_load_more function, which does not properly restrict access to posts. This allows unauthenticated attackers to access data from password protected, private, or draft posts that should normally be inaccessible.
The Gutenberg Essential Blocks – Page Builder for Gutenberg Blocks & Patterns plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 6.1.3 via the `save_ai_generated_image()` function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to make web requests to arbitrary locations originating from the web application and can be used to query and modify information from internal services.
The Essential Addons for Elementor – Popular Elementor Templates & Widgets plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in all versions up to, and including, 6.5.13. This is due to insufficient role validation in the 'register_user' function, which only blocks the 'administrator' role. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author level access and above, to create new user accounts with elevated privileges such as editor.
