AI-suggested
Users should monitor Red Hat advisories and Kroxylicious security advisories for updates on patches. Until a fix is available, review and carefully configure ACL rules to minimize overlapping prefixes and reduce risk. No specific mitigations are documented in the advisory. Red Hat customers with Technical Account Managers can seek direct guidance.
Description
A vulnerability in the Kroxylicious ACL authorizer's prefix-matching logic can cause authorization rules to be incorrectly applied or bypassed. This flaw may allow an authenticated Kafka client to access resources, such as reading a topic, that should be denied based on the ACL configuration.
