AI-suggested

Upgrade Apache MINA to versions 2.0.28, 2.1.11, or 2.2.6 or later, where the vulnerability is fixed by applying the classname allowlist earlier in the code. Applications using IoBuffer.getObject() should ensure they are running on these patched versions. No other mitigations are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

Apache MINA's AbstractIoBuffer.resolveClass() method contains a vulnerability where one code path bypasses the classname allowlist, allowing arbitrary code execution. This affects Apache MINA versions 2.0.0 through 2.0.27, 2.1.0 through 2.1.10, and 2.2.0 through 2.2.5. The issue is fixed in versions 2.0.28, 2.1.11, and 2.2.6 by applying the classname allowlist earlier in the code. Applications using Apache MINA that call IoBuffer.getObject() are vulnerable and should upgrade to the fixed versions.
