AI-suggested

Upgrade Apache MINA to versions 2.0.28, 2.1.11, or 2.2.6 or later, where the classname allowlist is applied earlier to prevent unsafe deserialization. Applications using Apache MINA that call IoBuffer.getObject() should apply these updates promptly. No other mitigations are specified.

Description

An incomplete fix for CVE-2024-52046 in Apache MINA's AbstractIoBuffer.getObject() method allowed deserialization of classes before the classname allowlist was applied. This affects Apache MINA versions 2.0.0 through 2.0.27, 2.1.0 through 2.1.10, and 2.2.0 through 2.2.5. The issue is resolved in versions 2.0.28, 2.1.11, and 2.2.6 by applying the classname allowlist earlier during deserialization. Applications using Apache MINA that call IoBuffer.getObject() are vulnerable and should upgrade to fixed versions.
