AI-suggested

A patch is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to the fixed versions identified by the commits f161e905b08ae8a513c5a36a10e3163e9920cfe6, ad40098da5c3b43114d860a5b5740e7204158534, and 6d0b588614c43d6334b2d7a70a99f31f7b14ecc0. Since this is a kernel-level fix, applying the updated kernel version 6.11 or later containing these commits will remediate the issue. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.

Description

CVE-2025-38356 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/xe/guc driver where the CT safe mode is not explicitly exited during an early probe abort. This can cause a warning due to a delayed workqueue task attempting to restart itself while the workqueue is being destroyed. The issue occurs during driver probe failure and has been fixed by explicitly exiting CT safe mode on unwind.
