Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's maple_tree implementation related to the MA_STATE_PREALLOC flag in the mas_preallocate() function has been fixed. The flaw caused a WARN_ON() message followed by a null pointer dereference when requests for a larger number of nodes were ignored, such as during vma merge retries triggered by drivers altering vma flags. This issue affects Linux kernel version 6.1.
