Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes. No additional mitigation is required once patched.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dmaengine idxd driver could cause a kernel panic when running IDXD workloads in a container with the /dev directory mounted. This occurs due to improper handling of workqueue availability during driver detachment, especially when Docker does not propagate mount replicas correctly. The issue has been fixed in specific Linux kernel commits.
