AI-suggested
This vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel. Users and administrators should apply the official kernel updates that include the fix identified by the listed commit hashes. No additional mitigation is required once the patch is applied.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's USB Type-C DisplayPort alternate mode implementation could cause a kernel exception due to out-of-bounds array access when a port partner reports invalid pin assignment capabilities. This issue has been fixed by adding a maximum pin assignment value to prevent invalid indexing.
