Published: 06/22/2026 (06/22/2026, 06:55:17 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: Apache Software Foundation
Product: Apache Doris MCP Server

Description

Apache Doris MCP Server version 0.1.0 contains a SQL injection vulnerability in a metadata query path. The vulnerability arises because a user-controlled database name is directly interpolated into a SQL query without proper authorization checks. This flaw may allow an authenticated attacker, or an anonymous attacker if authentication is disabled, to bypass SQL security validation and access metadata beyond the intended database scope. Users are advised to upgrade to version 0.6.1 or later where the issue is fixed.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2025-66336 is a SQL injection vulnerability in Apache Doris MCP Server affecting version 0.1.0. The vulnerability occurs because the database name input is not properly neutralized before being used in a SQL query, and the query executes without enforcing the caller's authorization context. This can lead to unauthorized access to metadata outside the intended database boundaries. The vendor recommends upgrading to version 0.6.1 or later to remediate this issue.

Potential Impact

An attacker with authentication, or potentially an anonymous attacker if authentication is disabled, can exploit this vulnerability to bypass SQL security validation and access metadata from databases they should not have access to. This compromises the confidentiality and integrity of metadata managed by the Apache Doris MCP Server.

Mitigation Recommendations

Users should upgrade Apache Doris MCP Server to version 0.6.1 or later, where this SQL injection vulnerability has been fixed. No other mitigation or temporary workaround is indicated in the available data.
