Since the vulnerability requires LAN adjacency, restricting network access to the TV and isolating it from untrusted devices can reduce risk. Monitor vendor advisories for updates or patches addressing this issue.
Description
Hisense VIDAA Smart TV firmware version 0000.01.00a.P0220 has a vulnerability in its DIAL service on TCP port 56789 that allows unauthenticated access from any device on the local network. This flaw enables attackers to query application states, enumerate installed apps, terminate sessions, and launch applications without user consent or authentication. It also allows bypassing YouTube's Origin check by spoofing headers, potentially exposing viewing activity and subscriptions or disrupting device functionality.
