Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-19251 is an information exposure vulnerability (CWE-200) in the Ultimate Member WordPress plugin versions prior to 2.13.0. The plugin fails to check whether comments are approved or if the profile is private before returning profile activity data to unauthenticated users. As a result, comments pending moderation can be read by unauthorized visitors, exposing potentially sensitive information.
Potential Impact
Unauthenticated users can access the content of comments that have not yet been approved and belong to private profiles. This exposure could lead to leakage of sensitive or private information intended to be restricted until moderation is complete.
Mitigation Recommendations
Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Since no official fix or patch is referenced, users should monitor the vendor's updates and apply any forthcoming patches promptly. Until then, consider restricting access to profile activity or comments through alternative means if possible.
