Until a fix is available, restrict non-super administrator privileges carefully and consider limiting access to the Host navigator widget or tooltips to trusted users only.

Description

CVE-2026-23926 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Zabbix versions 7.0.0 and 7.4.0. An authenticated administrator without superuser privileges can inject JavaScript code into a maintenance period. This malicious script executes when any user views the tooltip for that maintenance period in the Host navigator widget, potentially allowing unauthorized actions depending on the viewer's privileges.
