Description
CVE-2026-58927 is a Use-After-Free vulnerability in the EVS AIDL HAL component of Google Android. It arises from a data race on an unsynchronized std::weak_ptr in the EvsEnumerator::openCamera() function. Concurrent calls from privileged UIDs can cause a torn weak_ptr state, leading to a virtual call through a freed object's vtable. This flaw allows potential arbitrary code execution within the hal_evs_default process. The vulnerability affects Android versions 14, 15, 16, 16-qpr2, and 17.
