A patch is available for this vulnerability. Users should upgrade to one of the fixed versions: 18.11.13, 19.0.10, 19.1.9, 19.2.9, 19.3.6, 19.4.3, or 19.5.1. Applying these updates will remediate the integer overflow flaw and prevent exploitation.
Description
A critical integer overflow vulnerability exists in GitLab CE/EE versions from 7.0 up to certain patched releases before 18.11.13 and 19.x series before specific patch versions. This flaw could allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the GitLab server by exploiting an integer overflow during the compilation of a specially crafted regular expression.
