AI-suggested

Upgrade to Tornado version 6.5.5 or later, which includes configurable limits on multipart body size and complexity and the option to disable multipart parsing if not required. Since a patch is available and fixed in version 2.7.1_1 of livereload (which bundles Tornado), apply this update to remediate the vulnerability.

Description

Tornado versions prior to 6.5.5 have a denial-of-service vulnerability due to unbounded parsing of multipart/form-data requests. The parsing occurs synchronously on the main thread, allowing attackers to exhaust resources by sending requests with many multipart parts. Version 6.5.5 introduces configurable limits on multipart body size and complexity, including a default limit of 100 parts per request, and the ability to disable multipart parsing if not needed.
