A fix is available in Tornado version 2.7.1_2 that properly resets all per-request options on reused pycurl handles, preventing credential leakage. Users should upgrade to this fixed version.
Description
CVE-2026-91992 is a vulnerability in Tornado's CurlAsyncHTTPClient where per-request credentials such as client TLS certificates and proxy authentication credentials leak across requests due to handle reuse without proper resetting. This causes sensitive credentials from one request to be sent to unintended hosts in subsequent requests. The issue affects all released Tornado versions through 6.5.6. A fix is available in version 2.7.1_2.
