AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated gnutls packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Extended Lifecycle Support to fix this vulnerability. Users should apply the security update as described in Red Hat Advisory RHSA-2026:94442 and the referenced article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.

Description

A security vulnerability in the GnuTLS library used by Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Extended Lifecycle Support allows certificate validation bypass due to improper handling of URI and SRV Subject Alternative Names (SANs). This flaw could undermine the security of SSL/TLS connections by allowing invalid certificates to be accepted.
