Red Hat has released Red Hat JBoss Core Services Apache HTTP Server 2.4.62 Service Pack 6, which addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply this update after ensuring all previously released relevant errata have been applied. Detailed update instructions are available from Red Hat's official documentation. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official update.
Description
Red Hat JBoss Core Services Apache HTTP Server 2.4.62 Service Pack 6 includes security fixes for two vulnerabilities: an HTTP response splitting issue that allows forwarding of a malicious status line (CVE-2026-33523) and a timing attack in mod_auth_digest.so that enables bypassing digest authentication (CVE-2026-33006). This update replaces Service Pack 5 and addresses these moderate severity issues.
