AI-suggested

Update Valkey to version 8.0.12, which contains fixes for the described vulnerabilities. No additional mitigation steps are indicated in the vendor advisory.

Description

This security update for Valkey addresses multiple vulnerabilities including CVE-2026-92925, which involves improper validation of string-carrying extensions leading to an out-of-bounds read, and an integer truncation issue causing a heap buffer overflow in cluster publish message construction. The heap buffer overflow could allow an authenticated client to execute arbitrary code by publishing an oversized message. The update to version 8.0.12 includes fixes for these issues.
