A fix is available in SQLite version 3.54.0 and later. Users should upgrade to version 3.54.0 or newer to remediate this vulnerability. Since this is not a cloud service, manual patching or upgrading is required.
Description
SQLite versions before 3.54.0 built with the session extension have a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the sqlite3changeset_apply() function. This flaw allows attackers to corrupt heap memory by providing specially crafted changesets that cause sessionUpdateFind() to write beyond allocated memory. The vulnerability has a high severity rating with a CVSS score of 7.8.
